Affordable Housing in New York City

You should go to NYC’s Housing Preservation and Development’s (HPD) website and check the notices they have posted for housing developments that are currently accepting applications. You will have to send a letter requesting an application (sample letter in PDF format) and include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your request. It is a good idea to keep a log (sample log in PDF format) of all the developments you request applications from and/or apply to. Also visit the NYS Affordable Housing Directory.
